Express Nursing are recruiting Social Workers for Mental Health in South Wales.
The senior social work practitioner EDT is required to provide an enhanced level of social work skills and expertise in Adult services, Children’s Services and In-House Domiciliary Care and Re-ablement. Senior Social Work Practitioner Emergency Duty Team will be required to provide cover at short notice for absence of permanent staff on the EDT rota.
Hours : to cover absence for the following:
Duty on any evening from 16.30 – 00:30 (7.5hrs plus 1 unpaid hour break)
Some Lead shifts go on to 08:30am (15hrs plus 1 unpaid hour break)
Some Standby shifts from 00:30 to 08.30 for a negotiated single payment and additional full hours if called out.
Sat/Sun daytimes 08.30 – 16:30 (7.5hrs plus 1/2hr unpaid break
The Senior Social Worker Practitioner EDT ensures the service provides:-
• Child and Adult protection investigations.
• Provision of support and advice to children and families in urgent cases including the accommodation of children who are unable to live with their family when this is necessary
• Assessment of vulnerable adults and the provision of emergency services including residential care
• To support the Domiciliary Care and Reablement in-house Service to ensure continuity of service
• Mental Health assessments.
• Acting as appropriate adult under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984
2+ years experience is required as well as having access to your own car.
Appropriate social work qualification (i.e. Degree in Social Work, DipSW or equivalent
Requirements:
To apply for these shifts you must be fully registered with our agency as we offer them to our compliant and registered healthcare workers first. You must have experience with in a similar healthcare setting and have 12+ months post registration experience to be considered. SCW checks and all compliance checks will be conducted before you are offered shifts.
