Job Description

We are in need of an experienced Social Worker to work alongside the Safeguarding & Legal team in our Children, Families and Safeguarding Service.

The suitable candidate will be expected to deliver a high quality social work service to Children and their families who are deemed to have unmet needs and/or considered to be at risk of harm/significant harm.

Social Workers are expected to provide support and to develop resilience and independence, ensuring that children and their families are at the centre of decision making about their lives and the outcomes that they want to achieve without compromising the child’s safety.

Skills and qualifications required:

• Social Work Qualified, minimum 3 years post qualified plus technology & software skills

• registered with Social Care Wales. If not already registered, they will need to register in order to work in Conwy County Borough Council.

• Team work & interpersonal skills

The assignment is for 37HPW, Monday – Friday and will be located in Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay. The assignment is expected to last approximately 12 weeks with potential to be extended.

Requirements:

You must have experience with in a similar healthcare setting and have 12+ months post registration experience to be considered. SCW checks and all compliance checks will be conducted before you are offered shifts.

In order to maximise your shift offering, please ensure we have all of your availability for the upcoming months to ensure that we can offer you the most work possible and not contact you for shifts we know you are not available for.
